Golf The Card Game Supports STEM Education at Swing for Science 2025

We’re thrilled to announce that Golf The Card Game (GTCG) is supporting the Discovery Center at Water’s Edge by donating games to this year’s Swing for Science Golf Fundraiser on Friday, September 19, 2025!

GTCG is excited to give back to an organization doing incredible work in STEM education and hands-on learning for kids, families, and future innovators across the region. Every copy of the game we donate will help fuel their mission—whether it’s in a participant’s hands or lighting up the auction table.

Swing for Science is more than a golf event—it’s a day of fun, community, and impact. We’re honored to be part of the experience and can’t wait to hear stories of GTCG being played long after the last hole is finished.

From Idea to Reality:
GTCG’s 12-Year Journey

It all started on a regular Tuesday—July 30, 2013 on the sunny shores of Lake Erie in Angola, NY. That’s the day Golf the Card Game (GTCG) was born.

One summer night on the deck, under warm skies and laughter, a simple idea took shape. Twelve years later, that idea is now a real card game, a growing small business, and the dream I decided to chase.

And yep, there’s a pretty good story behind it.
