Q: On my last turn, if I draw a FORE! card or flip my 4th card and it's a FORE, can I still use it?
Yes! A FORE card activates the moment it's exposed — whether you drew it or flipped it. Complete your turn, discard, then yell "FORE!" and swap it with any opponent's face-up card. You do NOT need to have it sitting face-up from a previous turn.
Q: Can I steal back a card that was taken from me with a FORE card?
It depends which FORE card you're using. The FORE card that was just swapped to you is "spent" — it only counts as face value now. But if you have a different FORE card in your hand, absolutely — you can use it to steal back that card (or any face-up card from any player). The restriction is on the specific FORE card, not the card that was stolen.
Q: There is no Mulligan card?
The Mulligan is a 5th card dealt on the 1st and 10th hole, not a specific card in the deck.
Q: When exactly can I use my Mulligan card?
After the hole ends (all your 4 main cards are face up and every player has finished their turns) but before you calculate your score. Think of it as a bonus move between the last turn and scoring. You flip the Mulligan face up and swap it with any one of your 4 cards. It's a gamble — you don't know what it is until you flip it!
Q: Can I use my Mulligan on any hole, or just the hole it was dealt?
Any hole within its range. Your hole 1 Mulligan can be used on holes 1 through 9. Your hole 10 Mulligan can be used on holes 10 through 18. If you don't use it by hole 9 (or 18), it goes back in the deck.
Q: Why would I discard the card I drew and flip one of my own? (Option B)
This is actually a strategic move! If you peeked at a low card at the start (say a 2), Option B lets you "lock it in" by flipping it face up without risking it. You toss the drawn card and reveal the card you already know is good.
Q: Can I look at my cards again after the initial peek?
Nope — you get one peek at two cards at the start of the hole, and that's it. Memory is part of the game! (And yes, other players are absolutely allowed to distract you.)
Q: What happens if two players both have FORE cards on the same turn?
Only one FORE card can be played per player per turn, and it happens after your discard. So each player uses theirs on their own turn — there's no "counter" mechanic. If someone steals your card with a FORE on their turn, you'll have to wait for your turn to play yours.
Q: Do Wild cards count toward matching bonuses?
Yes! A Wild card becomes whatever number you need. So if you have a 5 and a Wild, that's a pair — 0 points.
Q: When does the game end?
The game ends after all 9 holes (short game) or all 18 holes (full game). Add up each player's scores from every hole — lowest total wins. Just like real golf, you're playing for the cumulative score across all holes, not just one.
Q: When does a hole (hand) end?
A hole ends when any player has all 4 cards face up. Every other player gets one final turn, then everyone scores that hole.
